1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Six Steps, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Important Disclaimer: Not Therapy

Six Steps is NOT a therapy service, emergency intervention, or substitute for professional mental health care.

It is a self-reflection tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition, illness, or disease. The questions asked are not clinical assessments.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, suicidal thoughts, or need immediate support, please contact a support helpline or emergency services in your region immediately.

3. Description of Service

Six Steps provides a structured self-reflection experience inspired by Emergent Knowledge techniques. Sessions are limited to:

  • Maximum 6 questions per session
  • Maximum 30 minutes per session
  • One active session at a time

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Use the service only for personal self-reflection
  • Not use the service if you are in distress (seek professional help instead)
  • Respect the limitations of this tool as described in these terms

5. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Six Steps. By using this service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Six Steps service, including its design, features, and content (excluding your personal reflections), is owned by Six Steps and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your reflections remain yours. We do not claim ownership of content you create during sessions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Six Steps and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any decisions you make based on your reflections
  • Any emotional distress experienced during or after using the service
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Service interruptions or data loss

9. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Six Steps and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
